"My work explores contemporary landscapes and I look deeper into what we can't initially see in the environment. I explore certain elements of the land which are moving, such as water, wind and light, and the effects they have on the landscape. For example, shapes created in sand, how trees grow and how clouds are shaped are all things which interest me.  I work with water-based paints, often acrylics and inks which are heavily diluted. I’m interested to observe the impact water has on my paintings, especially on the colours used. Also the natural flow of water has inspired some of the shapes in my paintings. For future works, I plan to use photography and moving images, I’m also looking to create a three dimensional environment which involves a collection of the senses."
