"As an artist, I incorporate sculptural elements with collage to create large scale, three dimensional collages. I create extraordinary devised creatures by constructing collages of rare and unfamiliar animals.  The smaller scale collages I create help me experiment with different combinations of a range of materials, this includes bought and found materials. Recently I have developed my collages by using digital techniques to create them, rather than the conventional method of cutting and sticking. These collages create a canvas for me to work on, I bring them to life through the layering of techniques I have learned and developed throughout my degree; this includes stitch work, embroidery and sculpting with clay and wire.

I am particularly interested in exploring the unknown within the animal kingdom. With so many undiscovered species in the world, do we really know what is lurking in the darkest depths of the ocean? I’m specifically exploring the process and creation of different species as there is such diversity between animals - what makes them the way they are?

Currently, to help further my knowledge of the bizarre creatures in the world, I am looking into biological anomalies which cause deformations and disfigurations of certain species. "
